Gonzalez Restaurant in Ballinger

I ordered the Deluxe dinner which came with a taco, 2 enchiladas, beans, rice, coleslaw, chips and guacamole for $9.99. The food was great, the portions were large and the service was the best! The waitress Eva was such a sweetheart, she reminded me of my grandmother. Next time im in town, I'll definitely be stopping by!

This place is awesome! I recommend the Al pastor tacos

I will never return to this establishment again! we came from San Angelo Texas to visit the arts and craft show, the owner of the restaurant was very rude and was speaking Spanish as if I couldn't understand... I ordered a plate of enchiladas and she warned me it was hot but when I got it it was waaaaay to spicy and I asked for just another plate of regular enchiladas and I was gonna keep the beans and rice so they didn't have to cook an entire new plate and she charged me for 2 plates (I took 1 bite!). I also got no refill and everyone else was asked for a refill! very disappointed

The best calabacitas con pollo plate. Atmosphere was great . Super friendly staff. Nice , clean and just enjoyable. Will keep coming back and stopping every time we go through Ballinger .

I don’t like complaining...especially for a small town restaurant. The lady did warn us that the enchiladas were spicy but they were way over the top spicy that the food wasn’t edible. Take it down a couple notches and stop ruining a decent enchilada with jalapeños. Overall if the enchilada wasn’t so spicy and edible I would of rated it 3 stars...

Stopped by Saturday evening. Had a couple of Tacos. The homemade cooking is spectacular! Went back Sunday for lunch and had the best plate of Mexican Food I have ever tried in West Texas. The Coleslaw should be sold and labeled. I'm not sure what is in the Recipe...but I will eventually get them to share the details!!! 5 Stars for sure! Jimmy

Gonzalez is one of our favorite spots to visit while in Ballinger. Owners have been nice each time we've been there. If you order spicy be careful because it's extremely spicy.

They had a fajitas buffett. Meat and tortillas were good but they did not have sour cream, gaucamole or Salsa on the buffet. Great service! Nice people!

The Monster jalapeño bacon cheeseburger has to be one of the best EVER! It has two enormous patties with cheese, bacon, avocado, jalapeños cabbage or lettuce (your choice), tomato and whatever condiment you want on a plate chocked full of Frank's very own seasoned fries.

Okay Tex Mex. Store-bought chips, but a good, spicy salsa. Taco meat didn't have much seasoning, the chili on the enchiladas had too much of something (cumin?). Disappointing.

The food is AWESOME!!! The service is great and they were very helpful since I didn't know what to get. Hopefully they can get more decorations in there. If you make it down there, I suggest either the fajitas or the guiso. I love the Spanish sauce, it is a little bit hot though!
